Since the beginning, Deltec Homes as been passionate about building homes for the future. Best known for their strength and ability to blend well with nature, our homes can truly bring the outdoors in. So when the YMCA of Western North Carolina approached us to build the cabins at their new summer camp, it was a no brainer. This was an opportunity to build something even more remarkable than our strong homes: strong kids.

Opening in the summer of 2015, Camp Watia will be a unique, affordable, residential camp with the sole purpose of serving the children in Western North Carolina.

In addition to traditional camp activities such as archery, swimming, boating, etc., the camp will deliver specialized programs such as STEM curriculum, sustainability education, cultural awareness and environmental studies. For Deltec, helping to promote this type of experiential education in an outdoor setting is right in line with our core value of environmental responsibility: leaving the planet better than we found it.
