Foundation Types

Deltec does not supply the foundation for your home – this is supplied by your builder or contractor. However, all Deltec homes (360° Signature Collection and Design Studio) are designed to accommodate the most common types of residential foundations depending upon your personal preferences and specific location requirements.

Common foundation types for residential homes include:

SLAB – A flat concrete pad poured directly on the ground.
CRAWL SPACE – A raised foundation with space between the ground and the first floor.
PILINGS OR PIERS – A foundation comprised of posts or piers supporting the house.
BASEMENT – A foundation that is typically located partially or entirely below ground. Basement options include:

  • A full basement (covers the entire footprint of the house) or walk-out basement (has an exterior door leading outside, usually on sloped terrain).
  • A finished or unfinished space
  • A wide range of uses, such as additional living space, storage and/or utility rooms.

Basement Foundation for the 360° Signature Collection

For those who want the benefits of a basement without sacrificing the advantages of the 360° Signature Collection, we now offer a basement foundation option. This upgrade preserves the efficiency and affordability of the 360° Signature Collection while accommodating the structural requirements of basement construction.
Due to the custom nature of basements, not all 360° Signature plans can accommodate interior stairs. In these cases, a walk-out basement design—with exterior access—may be required. Our team will help determine whether this option suits your project or if our Design Studio product line is a better fit.
